The selection for the August Yard of the Month has taken place and the Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Angela Reeves’ yard has been selected. Her home is located at 902 California St. In the five years that she has lived at that location, she has made big improvements to the home’s structural and aesthetic curb appeal. Angela has relied on local businesses to maintain her current setup, which was installed a few years ago by Hallgren Lawn and Landscape. It is now maintained by Hogelin Lawn & Landscape, and the grass is mowed by Bowin Landscaping and Lawncare LLC.
The front entrance is framed by two striking spiral blue junipers planted in oversized containers, creating a dramatic focal point that draws attention to the covered porch. The overall design combines formal structure with natural curves, resulting in a sophisticated, welcoming entrance that emphasizes the home’s character while remaining easy to maintain. The use of contrasting stone colors, evergreen specimens, seasonal containers, and carefully selected plant material creates a timeless landscape that delivers beauty in every season.
