The annual Chamber of Commerce Member Mixer will be held October 26 at the Osage City Golf Course. Please mark your calendar & plan to attend an enjoyable evening of food, wine & beer tasting & activities. Attendees will have the opportunity to taste a variety of wines or enjoy a variety of brews. They will also be serving appetizing snacks to enjoy with the wine or beer. Along with the wine tasting and visiting with your friends, there will be a putting contest held throughout the evening and be sure to enter the raffle drawings for some awesome giveaways. Businesses will be distributing tickets to some of their customers which will invite them to also come for the event.
The evening will also be the kick off for the 2020 Chamber of Commerce membership drive. The Chamber is always looking for new members with new ideas to help make Osage City a better community to live in. Current members may also plan to renew their membership. A “first time” incentive is being offered to regular memberships. Existing members are encouraged to invite potential new members. A misunderstanding that many people have regarding being a member of the Osage City Chamber of Commerce, is that you have to own a business to be belong and this is currently not the case. The Chamber offers an Associate Membership which invites any person to be a member of the Chamber of Commerce. The types of memberships are listed below.
Types
Regular Memberships – Any person, firm, association, corporation, partnership or estate having an interest in the objectives of the organization shall be eligible for membership. Any regular member shall have the discretion to designate their voting member.
Non-Profit Memberships – non-profit organization being a regular member with a member designated for voting purposes.
Associate Memberships – Any person having an interest in the objectives of the organization. Associate Members have no voting rights, nor may they serve as an officer or director, unless otherwise approved by the Board, but they will have all other membership privileges and responsibilities.
